Chinese characters as a bridge between cultures.

The Hunan Song Dan Chinese Character Art Museum launched its overseas “Hundred Cities” exhibition initiative in 2015. By presenting characters through visual art, the exhibitions make language approachable even for visitors who do not read Chinese.

According to the museum, 61 exhibitions and exchange activities have taken place across the United States, Japan, South Korea, Russia, France, Croatia and other locations, directly welcoming more than 102,000 visitors. A 2025 exhibition in Geneva continued this work through the theme “One Character Makes You Fall in Love with China.”
