Chinese culture becomes meaningful when you experience it firsthand.
China Immersed is a cultural education program developed by the Hunan Song Dan Chinese Character Art Museum for teens, adults, families, lifelong learners and heritage travelers.
Our home at the museum
Chinese characters open the door to a deeper understanding of China.
Based in Changsha, China Immersed gives international participants an engaging and accessible way to explore Chinese culture. The program welcomes teens and adults, families, lifelong learners and members of the Chinese diaspora seeking a meaningful connection with their heritage.
At the museum, participants learn by doing. Through calligraphy, traditional rubbing, carving, printing, painting and creative character design, they discover how the Chinese written language connects art, history, philosophy and everyday life.
